The Uganda premier league resumes today on match day three of the new season.
Struggling and newly promoted side Rwenshama who are yet to collect any point in their first season in the top flight will be at home in Mityana, Ssaza grounds to host defending champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) who were held to a one all draw at home by Police FC last week. KCCA’s Owen Kasule and Yasin Mugabi will miss the tie due to suspension while new loan signing from Kiira Young, Richard Kassaga along with Ronnie Kisekka, Hakim Ssenkumba and star striker Brian Umony will also be side-lined due to injuries.
Rwensahama suffered a 3-0 defeat in their UPL welcome match against Police FC before losing by 2-1 to Waswa Bossa’s side Express FC on match day two. The Mityana based new side now stand bottom of the Uganda Premier League table with no point in two games.
Elsewhere, last season’s runners up SC. Victoria University will be home to host Soana FC at the Namboole stadium while Kawempe based side Bright Stars will be at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo to host Bul FC from Jinja.
At home in Bombo Military Stadium, army side Simba FC who suffered a last minute 1-0 loss to Vipers last week will be up against newly promoted side Lweza whereas table leaders of SC Villa will travel to Kavumba recreational stadium in Wakiso district to play against second placed Police FC in what has been termed as a table leaders affair.
