The Uganda-Malawi international friendly initially scheduled for next Monday will now be played a day later.
This is after Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) accepting a request made by the Malawian Football Federation to delay the game by 24 hours from the original date.
“Difficulties in flight connections by the Malawian FA for their team can’t allow them to arrive in time for the game early next week,” said Ahmed Hussein, the Fufa spokesperson.
The game will now be played on Tuesday next week, four days before the first leg of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations pre-qualifier against Mauritania.
The winner over the two legs will progress to the group stage of qualification to Morocco where they are pooled alongside four-time African champions Ghana, Togo and Guinea.
