Uganda Cranes will face Zambia’s Chipolopolo next month as the two prepare for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) confirmed on Thursday that they had agreed with their counterparts, the Football Association of Zambia (Faz), to give each other a test ahead of the campaign.
The two will face off on March 5 at Ndola Stadium in Zambia as Uganda prepare for the preliminary round of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers and Zambia continue fine-tuning from the group stages due September.
‘We are happy to have such a high profile friendly with one of the biggest teams on the continent,” said Fufa CEO Edgar Watson, adding, “We are certain that it will help the coach test out his players against a good team”
The Cranes Squad to prepare for the game will be announced soon, according to Fufa spokesperson Ahmed Hussein.
