Uganda Cranes’ famous 1-0 win against Nigeria recently has paid off as they improved in the March rankings according to the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
It should be remembered that less than a fortnight ago, Uganda edged Nigeria in an international friendly played at the Akwa Ibom stadium, Uyo.
The Coca Cola FIFA rankings released on Thursday, 9th April 2015 revealed that Uganda improved by two places from being the 74th as of the February rankings to being 72nd.
The rise puts Uganda top of the CECAFA log followed by Rwanda who are in 74th place. Germany remained top of the world log while 2015 AFCON champions of Ivory Coast are 23rd on the log.
