Following their poor performance in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers, the Uganda Cranes have dropped to 84th position in the FIFA world rankings from the 79th position in the month of September.

Uganda had home and away losses to Togo in the AFCON qualifiers. The two consecutive defeats left Uganda 3rd of group E and the impact of the two losses has seen the cranes fall in the Coca Cola FIFA rankings also not forgetting the Cubs failure to qualify for the Africa youth championships due in Niger next year after they lost to the Zambian young Chipolopolo both away and at home.

According to the FIFA rankings released on Thursday(23rd October), Uganda ranks 84th in the world and 21st in Africa with 389points.

The Harambe stars of Kenya have also fallen to 116th position from their 111th position as of September. Their fall was attributed to losses against Morocco and Egypt in their recently played international friendlies.

Neighbors Tanzania and Ethiopia are now ranked 110 and 111 in the world respectively.
