Uganda will clash with neighbours Tanzania in the preliminary round of the Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2016 that will be hosted in Rwanda.
In a draw held on Sunday at the continental body’s (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, Uganda Cranes were drawn against Tanzania who they will visit first in Dar-el-Salam on the weekend of 19th-21st June, 2015 before entertaining them in the return leg that is scheduled for the 3rd-5th July, 2015 weekend.
The draws were graced and conducted by CAF General Secretary, Hicham El Amrani along with CAF 2nd Vice President, Almamy Kabele Camara, also president of Organizing Committee of the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Uganda are grouped in the Central East Zone that consists of countries like Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and Tanzania. These were given only three slots at the finals of the competition including Rwanda as the host nation.
