Uganda Cranes are under serious preparations ahead of the National team’s tour to the Eastern region of the country. The tour is part of the Cranes build up ahead of a very decisive game against Group D opponents of Comoros in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers that is slated for early September, 2016.
Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s side will play against an eastern select team on Saturday at Mbale Municipal stadium.
However, reports reaching our desk indicated that the tie venue (stadium) is in a sorry state but that won’t stop the game from being played.
On a related note, versatile right back Denis Iguma will not be available for selection in the clash against Comoros come September after having accumulated two yellow cards. Igume was booked in the Cranes’ clash against Botswana earlier on this month in Francis Town where Uganda won 2-1 with the first booking coming during duel with the same side at Namboole Stadium in June 2015.
The Cranes have also booked themselves a friendly match against arch rivals Kenya before facing off with Comoros in their final game of pool D.
