Uganda Cranes kicked off preparations for their two upcoming fixtures with a gym session on Thursday morning at Paradise Fitness City gym at Acacia Mall in Kampala.
The national team head coach, Micho on Wednesday summoned a 32-man squad to prepare for a double fixture against the Harambe Stars of Kenya and Comoros. Uganda will play Kenya on August 30th at Namboole in an international build up before the crucial tie against Comoros in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at the same venue.
Currently standing second on the Group D log with 10 points like top side Burkina Faso (have a better head-to-head), only a victory for Uganda can guarantee them a slot at the 2017 AFCON finals in Gabon.
Right back Dennis Iguma was not summoned in Micho’s 32-man squad having accumulated bookings during the Cranes’ clash against Botswana earlier on in June 2016 in Francis Town where Uganda won by 2-1 while the first booking came during duel with the same side at Namboole Stadium in June 2015.
