The preparations for the Uganda Cranes have hit their climax with arrival of other professional players ahead of their clash with Ghana this Saturday at Namboole stadium.
Players like first team goalkeeper and South Africa based player Denis Masinde Onyango (Mamelodi Sun Downs), Godfrey Walusimbi, Daniel Sserunkuma, and Geofrey Kizito of Gor Mahia F.C, Khalid Aucho and Martin Kizza from Tusker F.C are the other players that joined the camp from Kenya yesterday.
However, the team has suffered a setback after two players were named injury doubts for the Ghana clash. Sources reveal that Cranes stars in the names of Denis Onyango and AS-Vita striker Yunus Sentamu are likely to miss the David-Goliath battle when the Cranes face off with the Black Stars on Saturday 15th November 2014 at the Mandela National Stadium.
”Yunus is a huge doubt for the game against Ghana. I could say he is out because such injuries are not easy,” Micho told supersport. “For Onyango, we shall see in training tomorrow, it is what is in the player’s heart but we shall trust the doctor’s word. We continue monitoring them.”
Uganda who are third on the Group E table will be taking on first placed Ghana while second placed Togo will be at home to host bottom side Guinea.
