The mighty Uganda cranes will play The Pharaohs in a friendly match in the Red Sea resort of El Gouna before they head to Amman, Jordan on Wednesday, 02nd of October to battle with Iraq.
The friendly matches are to shape the team for 2014 Africa Nations Championship and 2015 Africa Cup of nations.
The cranes team left Kampala for Cairo yesterday and will take on national football team of Egypt today, after which they will connect to Amman, Jordan, where they will face off with Iraq 2 days later.
Notable absentees on the 18 man team that went to raise the Ugandan Flag are Guma Denis, the defender after he reported with an ankle injury while on club (SCVU) duty and midfielder Hassan Wasswa was reportedly dropped due to disciplinary issues with SC Victoria University goalkeeper.
Benjamin Ochan and colleague Manko Kaweesa returned into the national squad after a long absence.

Notably Bob Bradley the Egyptian coach said that Egypt chose Uganda for the warm up as they have an almost similar playing style to Ghana.
