In a recent development, the much-anticipated ‘UB40 featuring Ali Campbell’ concert slated for Thursday, 21st December 2023, at Kololo Independence Grounds in Uganda has been unexpectedly postponed. The decision stems from the unforeseen event at the same venue.
Despite the setback, organizers have assured fans that the concert will be rescheduled, and an official announcement regarding the new date will be made shortly. Attendees holding tickets for the initially scheduled event can rest assured as their tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled concert.
In a statement issued by Next Media Group, it was revealed, “A new date celebrating NBS At 15 will be communicated in due course, and all tickets remain valid.”
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell is known for their unique sound, with Ali Campbell being a founding member and the lead singer of UB40. Ali Campbell left the original band in 2008 due to management issues, a decision that was later vindicated when the said managers were struck off. In 2013, Ali reunited with Astro after the latter’s departure from the original band.
Ali and Astro together took the world by storm, captivating audiences globally and releasing three new albums that reached number 2 in the UK charts. Tragically, Astro passed away in November 2021 after a brief illness, following the completion of their remarkable fourth album – ‘Unprecedented.’
As fans await the announcement of the rescheduled concert date, the Next Media Group encourages ticket holders to stay tuned for further updates and expresses appreciation for their continued support.
