City tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia celebrated his daughter, Sheena’s wedding in a lavish ceremony that was held at Speke Resort in Munyonyo on Saturday. Sheena was celebrating her union to childhood lover Jay Sakaria.
The black tie affair, which was attended by several guests who included family, friends, business associates and dignitaries, was a culmination of week-long events that included a beer festival on Tuesday and a give-away at Sudhir’s Kololo mansion on Friday evening.
The event was spiced up with emcee Patrick Salvado Idringi’s jokes and performances from an acrobatics group and an orchestra from Russia who performed a mixture of Indian and pop songs as guests ate and drunk to their fill.
Meanwhile, last weekend’s event, which marked a climax to the newly weds’ wedding celebrations, was preceded by the “official” wedding ceremony that was held in London on 26th August this year.
