Yes, the most anticipated, East Africa’s number one music reality TV show is back, with better and bigger concepts. The experimental reality show which has given a platform for several people to showcase their singing talent for the last six years is will soon be back on the big screens.
According to the information on our desk, Tusker Project Fame 6 auditions will take place this month. The date and venue of auditions will be communicated later. Final contestants for the competition will see themselves battle for the cash prize and record deal in September.
For the previous years, Tusker Project Fame participants have been redundant in the music industry with a few keeping their career alive. The failure of these talented artistes to make it big was attributed to poor management, finances and corny record labels that exploit these musicians.
“They lack support in sponsorship and honest record labels with quality. A lot needs to change this time around.” said Ian Mbugua, one of the Tusker Project Fame judges.
