Blu 3 Reunion ConcertBy Our Reporter

This Saturday, June 22, all roads will lead to the Sheraton Kampala Hotel for the highly-anticipated Blu 3 Reunion Concert.

For many, watching the all-girl trio perform once again on stage is going to be a delightful treat down memory lane as Tusker Malt in partnership with Talent Africa prepare to take fans on a nostalgic joy ride.

As a brand synonymous with quality and a long-standing supporter of Ugandan music, Tusker Malt is continuing its tradition of backing extraordinary musical events with this sensational concert. The brand aims to deliver an unforgettable evening that pays homage to Blu 3’s iconic status.

At last week’s press conference, Tusker Malt Brand Manager, Roy Tumwizere, highlighted the brand’s ongoing commitment to supporting Ugandan music, mentioning the recently concluded Tusker Malt Conversessions series featuring Lilian Mbabazi, one of the Blu 3 ladies.

“As many of you know, we have always been a strong supporter of Ugandan music. Our involvement in this concert follows our Tusker Malt Conversessions, a series of unique musical experiences that brought together artists and fans in an intimate setting. In fact, Lilian Mbabazi, featured on our second season and her show was incredible,” he said.

Tumwizere also shared comments on how the brand strongly believes in the power of music to bring people together, to evoke emotions, and to create unforgettable memories.

“The brand has always been a staunch supporter of Ugandan music, be it live or recorded. We are incredibly excited to be part of Blu 3’s historic reunion concert, a momentous occasion that celebrates the essence of Ugandan musical artistry,” he added.

As the date approaches, anticipation continues to build. This event marks a significant moment in Ugandan music history and fans are eager to relive the magic of their early 2000s hits singing along to hits like “Frisky,” “Mutima Gwange,” “Hitaji,” “Nsanyuka Nawe,” and more.

“We look forward to delivering an extraordinary experience for fans, where we will not only revel in the midst of great talents like Blu 3 but also enjoy a premium experience that only Tusker Malt can.” Roy Tumwizere concluded.

Formed in April 2004 after winning the TV show Coca Cola Popstars, Blu 3 quickly rose to fame, becoming a powerhouse in the Ugandan music scene. This reunion concert will be the first in years since the group went their separate ways.

Fans can look forward to an evening that celebrates the continuing legacy of one of Uganda’s most iconic musical groups.
