Pro-Museveni musicians popularly known as Tubonga Nawe artistes are now under panic following the recent boycott of their concerts by the public.
Recently Radio & Weasel’s concert in Dubai attracted more seats than fans. Well, one their colleagues, Haruna Mubiru, who was also part of Museveni’s campaign song was supposed to have a show in the same place next month.
However, we’ve learnt that the show won’t go ahead as scheduled. Apparently the “Kiffa Nsalira” hit maker has cancelled his show in the oil rich desert city. No reason has been given at the moment but it’s believed Haruna must have feared breaking Good Lyfe’s recent record.
Fans world over have continuously vowed not to ‘kubonga’ with the Tubonga Nawe musicians. They have vowed to make them to ‘Kubonga’ with ‘Sevo Sevo’ until 2021 when we are expected to have the next general elections.
Among the first victims to taste this bitterness so far have been Radio and Weasel. Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone also received the wrath of the public on Friday when fans refused to vote them in the just held Zzina awards. Both musicians didn’t receive any award.
