Social Media has for the past few days been awash with negative sentiments against Ugandan musicians who took part in the Tubonga Nawe project that saw President Museveni hold onto power after the general elections recently.

The negative comments have been so many to the extent that some musicians have been threatened with death for their part in the Tubonga Nawe project.

Musicians such as Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Catherine Kusasira, Radio & Weasel, Juliana Kanyomozi, Haruna Mubiru and many others have been in the frying pan over the project.

Although some were given security to make sure that no harm comes to them, we have been informed that others have left their homes to avoid any encounters with angry mobs.

“One of the celebrities is staying in a hotel in Kololo so that he can be safe after he took his family out of the country. The other big star on the project got a great apartment away from the public eye in Bukoto and spends some of his time in a beautiful hotel in Entebbe overlooking Lake Victoria,” we were told by one of our sources.

We hope the situation doesn’t escalate into something bad.

We will keep you posted.
