Okay, don’t get too surprised like you didn’t expect it to happen. We all know that when Real Madrid is in pursuit of a player, two responses can only come from the wanted party,’YES and ‘YES’. It has always been the case with players like Beckham, Figo, and Cristiano Ronaldo finding it improbable to turn away Real’s advances.
In one of the longest transfer sagas seen, Tottenham were caught in the middle of a cat and mouse chase for their star player Gareth Bale with Real Madrid very relentless in their pursuit.
Reports have been coming through that Tottenham Hotspurs finally got seduced by the possibility of 100m euros being credited to their account. Real Madrid has been confident that the 24 year old Gareth Bale will officially be a Madrid player in the next days. Yes, he will be donning the white strip of Les Merengues.
In my opinion, Tottenham’s Daniel Levy has been the biggest beneficiary. 100m euros for a talented player untested in the perimeters of Europe is too risky. But again Bale is ridiculously talented but I don’t honestly see him living up to that price tag. It’s just a crazy amount.
For Fiorentino Perez, the admiration for the winger couldn’t be suppressed. He went on and on and he got it.Perez is about protecting the brand of Real. Sell as many shirts as you can and rake in euros here and there but honestly I can’t see Bale’s marketing bite. And after missing out on Neymar’s signature, the prospect of a marquee signing just couldn’t be relinquished by the President.Dont get me wrong. I think Bale will be a success at the Bernabeu but he will fail to live up to the price tag.
Tottenham on the other hand can snap up two decent players to replace the Welshman. In all honesty; Tottenham will have the last laugh.
