The Television industry in Uganda is on the rise. With close to 100 TV stations running in the country thanks to digital migration, 2015 had its own best TV presenters who kept us glued to the screens. But who are they, you may ask? Well, we present to you the top five female TV presenters of 2015 who kept us glued to our TV screens.
Josephine Karungi
NTV Uganda news anchor Josephine Karungi needs no introductions. The humble presenter who has been on television for quite some time had everyone glued to their TVs last year. Especially the men. Her beautiful smile kept everyone hooked all through the year.
Flavia Tumusiime
She joined new reading this year and caused many TV remote fights in families. Even people who always left the kids to watch cartoons at 9pm couldn’t just get off the TV whenever Flavia was reading the news this year. Apart from being very talented at what she does, she has the body, smile and personality that will keep you wanting more.
Faridah Nakazibwe
Well, she may have some relationship issues after beign dumbed by the love of her life, a city tycoon, but she doesn’t let anything keep her from looking fine on TV and tantalizing viewers with her TV skills. Flavia’s Mwasuz Mutya program got many men following her in the morning before they would even go to work, then they would rush home to watch her at Akawungezi just to feel good. It’s not easy to make people feel like this about you. Well done Flavia
Stella Nantumbwe
She always sat in for Mary Luswata whenever she would be off the set on leave or away from the station. The Big Brother TV star is just a natural when on the set. Her show on Urban TV, Skizzy, gets many to tune in just to look at how smoothly she runs her programs.
Tinah Teise
TV star Tinah Teise who has of recent been very close to the Rich Gang members knows everything that is happening in town. You will see her at every social event talking to the stars and keeping fans updated on her “About Town” show. Her pretty smile and on point interviews have kept viewers hooked to her show to know what is happening in their town.
