2016 was a year of finding love for many, but for some, the year brought an end to their relationships. Today we reveal the top five Ugandan celebrity couple breakups of 2016.
1. Dean Nsubuga and Hellen Lukoma
Hellen Lukoma and his significant other, Dean Nsubuga called it quits this year. The former HB Toxic singer had made a sort of power couple for years with Dean only to end it in 2016. Dean immediately decided to hooked up a bummy and curvy babe called Sumaya Lumala leaving Hellen to frequent city bars to drink her sorrows away.
The cause of the break up was reportedly that Dean found Hellen with another man and yet she had told him she was heading for a meeting, since then, it wasn’t business as usual. Hellen’s association with Hellen Lukoma and Desire Luzinda also contributed to the breakup. The two have now moved on.
2. MC Kats and Fille
Fille and MC Kats have always been in a relationship that many don’t approve of. The female singer decided to take a man who has over 6 children from different woman and make him her man. Many were against it, but Fille was in love. This year, she was promised a wedding of her life that she didn’t get. As time went on, she grew tired of Kats and decided to pull the plug. Not only did she dump him, she also fired him as her music manager and also beat him up. It’s only until recently that the two have made up and put the past behind them.
3. Leila Kayondo and SK Mbuga
The year started on a bad note for this couple and it is no surprise that they are no more. Tycoon SK Mbuga moved on fast after he accused Leila of cheating and refusing to settle down and live in a home with him. SK Mbuga was quick to find a woman, Vivienne Birungi, a Ugandan from Sweden. The two had a lavish wedding recently cementing their relationship and leaving Leila in the gutter.
4. Samira and Weasel
Celebrity couple, Samira Tumi and Weasel Manizo were having a perfect relationship like one from a fairy tale until mid-2016. According to our sources, the couple started fighting with each other with both accusing the other of cheating.
First it was Samira accusing Weasel of fathering too many kids with different women and then Weasel started accusing Samira of seeing other men while he was on his trip to Europe mid this year. This was swiftly followed by Samira and Weasel’s kid leaving the house shortly before she started partying like never before and moving out with other men.
Much as we loved this couple, 2016 was not good to their relationship. We wish them the best.
5. King Oyo and Grace Nakimera
Singer Grace Nakimera was head over heels in love with Tooro’s King Oyo this year in a short relationship that ended with her not taking the Tooro crown as queen.
The relationship met a snug when some elders blamed Grace Nakimera over a strange disease that she had passed on to the King. The disease was eating up King Oyo and they resolved that he dumps her.
It is alleged that King Oyo was unhappy with their resolution. He started drinking heavy booze to forget about the singer.
