Over 40 international delegates last Friday witnessed Tooro queen mother Best Kemigisa being endorsed as East Africa’s patron of Zonta international in Kampala.
She was endorsed mainly for her efforts in uplifting women in East Africa. It was therefore prudent that they endorse her as the East African representative for her continued fight for human rights and improvement of the image of women as a whole. Last year in September she was chosen as the African Queen and Women Cultural Leaders Network as the African President.
The queen mother accepted her endorsement saying that “together we shall uplight the living conditions of women and childlen in African and the world in general.”
