Local musician Adam Mulwana of the “Toka Kwa Barabara” fame is set for a mega concert.
The upcoming singer who became a local sensation in the 2016 Presidential election campaigns after headlining several rallies by FDC presidential candidate Kiiza Besigye will entertain his fans at a VIP concert dubbed “Toka Kwa Barabara”.
The concert is slated for Friday, March 17th at Thearte La’Bonita with tickets going for 20K and 50K.
There will also be performances from several top artistes including Bobi Wine, David Lutalo, Gravity Omutujju and Haruna Mubiru among others.
Meanwhile, also in attendance with be prominent opposition figure Dr. Kiiza Besigye. Besigye has confirmed that he will attend the “Toka Kwa Barabara” concert as he lauded the singer for his commitment to composing liberation and freedom songs.
He said, “Mulwana is a highly talented artiste that has committed almost the last decade to composing liberation and freedom songs. Mulwana’s most remarkable composition Toka Kwabarabara was my campaign theme song: It inspired and entertained millions, and probably, the only song that unites Ugandans to fight oppression and bad governance.”
“I will attend his concert, together with other Ugandans that recognise and appreciate his enormous talent. Lets support our comrade Adam Mulwana.” He added.
