It’s about time Her Ninjaness arrived to the occasion

Cynthia Tumwine

Her Ninjaness? You must probably be banging your head on the ground wondering who the heck she is. Well, she is a ninja, like her moniker suggests. But in real world, she is Cynthia Tumwine; the beau on Urban TV. She’s been on radio at XFM and now, she is a rapper. Not a shabby idea. I have listened to her verses, some sound horribly corny. And some sound, well, horribly uncorny (if you may allow me coin that word).

Have you listened to her lines on Baru’s ReDefinitions beat? You haven’t. You should. Question: why doesn’t Cynthia take this whole thing serious? Why doesn’t she slip out of her comfort zone and take her ninjaness thingy to another level? I have listened to different rappers spit out on that beat and I can gallantly, unapologetically too, say that Cynthia’s lines take the biscuit. It’s the way she rhymes that leaves you wondering the heck does she smoke? It’s those melodic voices she fuses in and sings and raps with. She has a few tracks with some rappers and she hasn’t disappointed an ounce. Someone should pat her shoulder and tell her to get off her pretty derriere and dive into the murky waters of rap. Someone. Anyone!
