The parking lot at Game Lugogo is a bevy of activity as consumers who won during the Bell Pop’n Jam promotion redeem their tickets.
An excited Paul Musana, who redeemed 40 tickets on the third day of the redemption process, could not hide his excitement as he told all and sundry it was only the concert date that he awaited.
“I will be going to the concert with my girlfriend of course; but I have also invited some of my friends to come along. We are going to have a mini party at the Ne-Yo concert. I just can’t wait for the day,” he said.
During the third day of the ticket redemption, an average of 350 tickets were given out per hour as thousands thronged the center. This number is expected to rise as the concert date nears.
The sale of tickets to the concert is also ongoing at Nakumatt Oasis, Capital Shoppers Nakawa, Oryx Fuel Station Lugogo and at The House of Walker, Sheraton Hotel. Ordinary tickets cost UGX60,000 while the VIP ones are being sold at UGX120,000.
“The limited tickets that have been put up on sale cater to those who felt that they had been left out by the under the crown promotion. Bell Lager consumers can still send 10 codes to 8464 to guarantee themselves a ticket to the concert,” explains Robert Nsibirwa, the Bell Lager Brand Manager.
Ne-Yo will be flying into the country with a 30-man team that comprises a full band, dancers, backup singers, technicians and security. Part of the team jets into the country on Wednesday to oversee the finer details of the set up. The concert promises to be the biggest production Uganda has seen in recent years.
