It is a widely held notion that Speke Resort Munyonyo is for the affluent, and rightly so. Situated at the shores of Lake Victoria, the resort is one of the few 5-star hotels in Uganda and has on several occasions been preferred accommodation for visiting high profile individuals from heads of state to renowned international celebrities.

1. Horse Riding – Whether you are a first timer who wants to tick horse riding off their bucket list or an experienced equestrian who wants to rekindle for their love for horses, you will definitely get the experience at Munyonyo. For Ugx 40K, you will get a 20-minute pony ride, while a one-hour hack costs Ugx 70K (often for the experienced riders).
2. Boat cruise – Better enjoyed as a group, a boat safari is one of the other activities you can enjoy when you visit Munyonyo. For Ugx 100K (maximum 7 people), you will sail off at the resort’s marina to enjoy a one-hour excursion on L. Victoria. The sights are breathtaking. The ride refreshing. And the experience will be worthwhile.
3. Indulge your palate – With four main restaurants and a broad menu to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. Whether you fancy a continental dish or just want to try out an Asian cuisine, you will definitely get the treat to satisfy your appetite. A main course meal ranges from Ugx 30K to Ugx 70K.
4. Cool off in the swimming pool – There is no better time to take a dip than on a hot sunny afternoon. Boasting of an Olympic-size swimming pool, there is no better place to enjoy the experience than at Munyonyo. It will set you back Ugx 40K, but this also gives you complimentary access to the gym, steam bath and sauna.
If you decide to bring along the kids, there is also a children’s swimming pool where they can also indulge in the fun.
