With just days left to the much anticipated encounter between Uganda all-stars and the Barcelona Legends, the match organisers have revealed that either Thierry Henry or Ronaldinho Gaucho will be in Kampala to boost the charity match.
The two are both Barcelona legends and world iconic figures that many Ugandans would be thrilled to watch play.
“It will be the biggest name to ever come to East Africa and we know that fans will be very excited about him. The presence of either legend will be a huge boost because they are some of the biggest sporting icons,” Royco Garcia is quoted on www.observer.ug.
Big names have already been lined up to feature at the game of the century and among these are; Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids, Luis Garcia, Carles Puyol, Ludovic Giuly, Gianluca Zambrotta, Deco, Gaizka Mendieta, Juliano Belleti, Luis Carreras, Julio Iglesias, Sergi Barjuan, Albert Luque and Jesus Angoy.
They are all expected in the country on December 8th for the match slated for December 12th, 2015 at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole whose proceeds will be used in the establishment of a state-of-the-art football academy under the Royco Garcia foundation.
Tickets are already on the market at different places, namely; Payway stations, Shell and Total gas station plus KFC restaurants. They go for: Ordinary-30,000/=, VIP-150,000/= and VVIP-350,000/=.
