Thomas Sempijja aka Tommy Lee who had positioned himself as the Ugandan representative of Tanzanian elite singer, Diamond Platnumz, has been sent to the coolers. The young ‘jobless millionaire’ who was known as an untouchable money man in his Kansanga neighborhood was respected not only for his connections with the East African superstar but also for his generosity when it came to giving out free money to female campus students at KIU.

As bad luck would have it, Tommy Lee, was arrested and sent to Central Police Station (CPS) for alleged fraud. We have been told that the 25-year-old was arrested for allegedly conning close to 5 million shillings from an unsuspecting fashion model a one Namiiro.

Sources reveal that this was not the first time that Tommy Lee was conning people. We have been told that he was using Social Media as a bed for all his evils. He would con unsuspecting people who respected him for his alleged connections to Diamond Platnumz.

We have also been told that most of these celebrities don’t even know that he was representing them in Uganda. “Huddah and Kiba recently came out to say that they don’t know who he is and that he shouldn’t be using their names in vain,” said a source.

Namiiro talked of the time when he hacked an account and used the opportunity to con her. “He hacked into my account after learning that one of the companies I was working for wanted me to grace a function that another company was hiring. He then under the guise of Huddah went ahead to ask for 4.5 million shillings from me. The money was sent to him thinking that he was Huddah. We only realized later that we had been played. We managed to get him by tracing where he had withdrawn the money from,” said Namiiro the model who was conned.

He had made very many photos of him with very important people so that he could be respected and feared in order to cheat the unsuspecting public. Financial experts say that Ugandan scammers are on the rise. Most of them are using Social Media where many business deals are transacted with no protection whatsoever for the customer. Tommy Lee was just one of them.

We will keep you posted.
