These are the best combinations ever to grace the Ugandan air-waves, they would or they make you rush to tune in just to give them your air. You can’t avoid them, you just love them, you feel one with them and you would even wish they had a thing together.
So, we release the best radio presenter partnerships, the best presenters who have worked together as a duo combination and given our airwaves the very best.
1. Christine Mawadri and Alex Ndawula
This remains the best unchallenged radio partnership of all time in the history of Ugandan radio. When they worked together as the Capital Morning Crew, they were the stars, they had the magic that made our ears attracted to their show and wishing it never comes to an end. They had segments such as Capital birthday balls, strange but true, guess the voice just to mention but a few. Even when they had a few disagreements off air, you could never detect it in their voices once they got on air. They remain the best ever in Uganda, if they had a kid together, it would be named, Christine Ndawula.
2. Roger Mugisha and Aisha Alibai
They both had the looks, but they also had those voices that just tick on radio. They made KFM a wonder to behold every morning.
3. Seanice Kacungira and Fatboy
They have always had differed opinions, they always agree to disagree. If there’s one thing they really agree on, that’s to entertain us. On one hand we have Virgin Mary aka Seanice Kacungira, on another hand we have Fatboy praying to God so he blesses the works of his hands. If these two ever get to have a kid together, he will be a fat atheist who claims to be a god.
4. Melanie and Fatboy
Rumour has it that the only girl Fatboy will ever love is Melanie, so when Melanie left, Fatboy swore never to fall in love. On November 9th he will attend a sex orgy organized in Kampala at a venue we shall disclose. These two were the magical birds of the air-waves, one magical weaver-bird and another Kaloli aka Fatboy. Maximum entertainment.
5. Byg Kahuna and Mckenzie
Okay, this is the only dude combination to make it to this list. We tried to find a way of ejecting them, but we just failed, we even tried to make a top 5 instead of a top ten and they still made it to the list. They know how to get their subject and deliver it, forget about comedy miscarriages, these ones delivered the very best. During their days at HOT 100, they had the hottest morning show, it was so hot, it made Eddy Kenzo win a Grammy award.
6. Jackie, Ramesh and Allan
This should be termed as the perfect threesome of Ugandan radio. If you miss them, you have missed a day on radio, not just a day but days and days of radio. Since you know what it means to have a threesome, you know what it means to have three great personalities on your radio set.
7. PK Bbosa and Ddembe Zaina
Some local chaps who listen to Akaboozi Ku Bbiri insisted that these are the best among the local chaps and could we disagree? So together they bring us that program “Eyajja okukola” and they make all those who stay in the areas of Namasuba, Zzana, Bweyogerere, Nansana, Nankulabye and Bwaise salivate with happiness at the mention of their names.
8. Abbey Mukiibi Nkaaga, Kato Lubwama and Abu Kawenja
These three musketeers give the best comedy in Luganda on CBS’s ‘Bwakedde Mpulira’. They have been unchallenged in this category for years, the only short-coming is that they lack a female voice among them, and for swag purposes, you cant be heard listening to such comedy in the morning, at least not when you associate with the BigEye.ug brand and Ortega Ian.
9. Kelekele , Cotilda and Mary T
They call themselves the Abazinyi. Apparently, Galaxy Fm is about dancing and these are like the trio to look out for, they are the newest kids on the block. We don’t know whether it’s Kelekele who dances Cotilda or it is Mary who dances Kelekele.
10. Lucky and Salvado
These ones stole the final spot. One resembles Shrek and Idi Amin Dada, another speaks like she’s the Queen of England and together they make the perfect combination on Capital Fm. You miss them at your own risk, because if you do, you can imagine Salvado getting constipation and coming to deal with you, imagine how his face will turn out. Super entertaining voices, great combination!
