Vipers head coach Edward Golola has rubbished Abdallah Mubiru’s claims that the title is theirs to lose.
This comes after Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru earlier on said that the title is Vipers to lose despite his side being in second spot on the Azam Uganda Premier League table (AUPL).
“It is theirs to lose. We have to win all our remaining seven games and hope they lose. It is in their hands,” Mubiru told supersport.com.
However Edward Golola has brushed off Mubiru’s words calling them mind games.
“Those are mind games and we know it. They are saying all that to make us relax but I have sensitized my players and they know that we have not won any title yet. We are treating every match as final until the end of the season,” Golola told supersport.com
Currently Vipers lead the 16 team log with 52 points from 23 games. The Buikwe based side have so far lost one only game in the league this season, winning 15 and drawing 7. However, KCCA come second with 50 points but have played a game more than the toppers.
