Magical scenes were seen yesterday at Mandela National Stadium Namboole as relegation strugglers The Saints FC stunned Jinja based side Bul FC with a 3-1 thumping in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).
It was a barren first half but in the second half of the game, Fred Agandu opened the scoring to give Saints the lead before Yunus Sibira netted for Bul FC to bring matters back to level.
In the 86th minute, on-loan star from KCCA, Owen Kasule converted from the penalty spot as the home side restored their lead. Kasule pounced once again in stoppage time to mark his brace as The Saints stunned Alex Isabirye’s Bul FC with a 3-1 thrashing as the fight to stay in the topflight.
Saints are now under the charges of Uganda Cranes assistant coach Moses Basena who was earlier on in the season sacked by URA FC before the league debutants lost their George ‘Best’ Nsimbe to league defending champions Vipers SC.
They however remain in 15th place on the league table with only 13 points having recorded their second victory of the season.
