The fourth edition of the intense University Football League (UFL) returns on 23rd September, 2015 as the last eight clash at the quarter final stage of the annual tournament.
Ndejje University will entertain Nkumba University in Luweero on Wednesday, 23rd September in the opening fixture of the quarter finals.
On Thursday, 24th September 2015 Makerere University travel to Kansanga to face off with Kampala International University as they continue with their quest for the title that they last won in 2012.
The league took a break after the first round (group stages) following a recess by the universities and the second session of the season was launched on Wednesday at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
“We are meeting with sports tutors, cheer leaders, student leaders and universities authorities on how best we can have safe matches,” Anthony Tumwesigye, the league manager denoted.
In other games of the quarter finals, Uganda Martyrs University (UMU), Nkozi will host Uganda Christian University (UCU) while the defending champions, MUBS will clash with Kyambogo University on 1st October 2015.
The finals of the fourth edition of the university league are slated for 7th November 2015 at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole.
