Taxify, a ride-hailing platform, has lowered their prices!

They announced a mega drop in their fares on Tuesday in a bid to make their services more affordable and also better serve their clients. According to the new promotional rates, users will enjoy discounts of 50% and 25% on their Taxify Boda and Cab options respectively.

Taxify cabs will charge 1,000 UGX Base fare, 110 UGX per Minute, 550 UGX per KM, and 3,500 UGX Minimum Fare while the Bodas will charge 150 UGX Base fare, 50 UGX per Minute, 175 UGX per KM, and 1000 UGX Minimum Fare.

With the new rates, Taxify users will pay an estimated fare of about 10,000 shs for most of the popular destinations around town. For instance, Bugolobi to Naalya will cost an estimated 9,300 shs (5,100 for Boda option) and Kiwatule Recreation centre to Mulago will cost about 9,800 shs (4,000 for Boda option).

Commenting about the reduced rates, the Taxify team said; “While lowering the prices, we’ll be rewarding our drivers with bonuses to compensate the difference. Our focus is to provide drivers with better revenue per ride and keeping them happy with earnings and support we provide which leads to ultimately better service for clients.”

The new promotional fares will run until the end of March.
