Revelers should expect a great music experience at the Swangz All Star concert which is taking place this Friday at Lugogo Cricket Oval. This according to Jamaican-American musician Tarrus Riley, who is the headlining act.
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday morning, the Reggae star promised to give his fans a great music experience. “It is a pleasure to be in Uganda. I am excited to be singing and sharing music with my fans in Uganda.” He noted. “I take pride in what I do and want to deliver a great experience.”
“We are definitely going to have a great time,” he added.
Famous for songs like Gimme Likkle One Drop, She’s Royal, Just the way you are, and Don’t Come Back among others, he will be performing alongside Blak Soil band and and renowned Jamaican saxophonist, Dean Fraser.
There will also be performances from several local musicians including Maddox Sematimba, Bebe Cool, Winnie Nwagi, Ykee Benda and Weasal among others.
“We have done a lot of rehearsals, and musicians will be doing live performances,” Swangz Avenue boss Benon Mugumbya said. “We are well prepared and will deliver an amazing experience.”
The Swangz All Star concert will crown the 3-month tour which was held to mark Swangz Avenue’s 10th anniversary. Organised in partnership with Bell Jamz, the tour saw Swangz host regional concerts in Mbale, Arua, Gulu and Masaka.
