Celebrated Tanzanian artiste, Ali Kiba, claims dirty tricks led to his loss at the just concluded at the just concluded 2015 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The Chekecha singer who was nominated for Best Male Artist East Africa, Artist Of The Year, Song of The Year and Male Artiste of The Year, did not win any of the four trophies.
Three of the awards were bagged by his counterpart Diamond Platnumz, who was nominated in the same categories and now Ali Kiba feels that he was cheated out of his victory.
Through a post on his Instagram account, Ali Kiba thanked his fans for coming out in large numbers to vote for him.
He went on to say that some people had gone to the extent of splashing out money to ensure that he does not win any award.
‘Asanteni sana najua mmepiga kura sana lakini nilikuja kugundua baada ya kufuatilia kuwa kuna mambo yanaendelea ya watu wanadiriki hata kupoteza pesa zao kwaajili yangu ila nawaomba fans misinielewe vibaya. I will always be there for you,’ he wrote.
