Tanzania rapper Joseph Haule popularly known as Professor Jay has finally decided to join politics.
In a social media announcement the rapper confirmed that he will in fact be running for a parliamentary seat to represent the people of Mikumi-Morogoro, a constituency in Eastern Tanzania.
Joseph Haule has choosen to run on Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo Party, and will be running against a powerful incumbent Chama cha Mapinduzi MP.
The announcement sparked reactions from all quarters- his Facebook page flooding with comments: Most supporting him, but others doubting his capability to represent people .
Whatever his motivation is, it looks like this one is going to be a tough one for Proffesor Jay.
