After Bad Black encouraged every dark skinned Ugandan girl to bleach days back, she has received criticism from Ugandan stylist based in Sweden Krina Styla.
In a long Facebook post Krina Styla, thinks dark is the best color if you are born dark. In a bitter post she said, “It’s so sad that some of our African celebrities encourage young girls that bleaching makes you more beautiful. I am so pissed that young beautiful dark skin girls feel terrible inside that they’re not beautiful enough because of how the society portrays the image of beauty. I am not better than anyone but if I can make a few girls see that being comfortable with your skin brings out the beauty and smile in you that’s better than not trying at all!!!! Black is beautiful no matter what others say, don’t try change yourself for anyone because at the end of the day it’s you to suffer the consequences. I am here to create awareness and say NO to BLEACHING. With a helping hand we can stop this epidemic.”
Krina is also part of the “say no to bleaching” campaign, a campaign that is intended to create awareness among African girls that black is beautiful.
