Sweden based Ugandan musician King K, known for songs like Emergency love, Wabigalo ku mutima among others, has criticized Ugandan musicians and producers for not taking ample time to produce quality music.
According to King K, musicians in Uganda have not crossed boarders not because they aren’t good enough, but because they lack creativity and always want to rush the music that’s why less of our music is played on international TVs like MTV, Trace and Channel O. Producers are not given enough time to exercise their creativity and therefore production of half baked music.
“It takes me and my producers 9 months to produce a song as it takes a woman 9 months to deliver a baby and this has helped me a lot unlike other Ugandan brothers; 5 songs per week?” Said King K.
This comes at a time when the vocally gifted and talented King K gets his final touches on his 2015 album dubbed Money Money People that has been in preparation for over 2 years now.
