Swangz Avenue has stopped recording for local artistes after landing several corporate advert deals.
“Producers are no longer interested in producing songs yet they can make big cash from making adverts,” said a source. The studio owner is following in the footsteps of Fenon’s Steve Jean who stopped recording for local artistes long time ago.
“They only record for Irene Ntale who is signed to the label,” read part of the report in Hello paper.
Fenon also makes millions of shillings from recording Telecom commercials among other things. Experts believe that this is a chance for other small studios to grow by producing for local artistes.
