US Based promoter Suudi Lukwago has been the man making big moves in the showbiz industry of recent. Just last year in December, he flew in Jamaica’s hottest dancehall property Busy Signal and the show was by all standards a success. And just last week, he was again behind the coming of Dye Dye singer Macka Diamond and though not exactly a huge success we can say that he has given Kampala’s nightlife a lift of optimism.
And adding to what is already becoming a very busy year in as far as entertainment, the chubby looking lad has decided to organise a carnival that is intended to rival the KCCA carnival. He has named it the Island Carribean Carnival and it will be held on throughout the third weekend of August on Ugandan soil.
But the real icing on the cake is that he intends to hand Busy Signal a return to Kampala to mash up the dancehall crazy Ugandans and also have dancehall queen Cecile and Kevin Lyttle to wrap up a dancehall explosion at the carnival. He affirms that the artistes have been booked and that they will share a stage with many local musicians.
