A leading betting company is faced with a massive reputation battle after some of its suppliers chose to seek legal redress for what they termed as ‘underhand and short-changing’ methods being used by this firm.

Information on our desks shows that some suppliers, through their lawyers have already served this giant betting firm with intent to sue letters with a ‘prayer’ that they are addressed and resolved immediately.

It is further understood that at the centre of these troubles is failure to issue contracts, make payments or at-least compensate the suppliers for works done between end of 2016 and mid-2017.

“The issue at hand is simple. Someone was asked to work and promised that a contract explaining terms of work and payment schedules was being processed. Mid-way the works, the firm refused to issue the contract and also indefinitely called off the activities. However, these people (suppliers) had already invested their money. When they asked for any commitments or compensations, the betting firm went silent,” a source privy to this issue noted, adding; “It is unfairness. The aggrieved parties are considering court as the only place that will resolve this matter.”

Our team is on ground and will keep you posted on this developing story.
