The African-Jamaican concert dubbed “Akalimu/Clean and Out Charity Concert” has been of such great significance in people’s lives more than any other concert in Uganda before. It has been very life-changing to particularly people of Budduda and Kasese who were victims of landslides and floods.
Bobi Wine, even after holding a free concert dedicated to charity which saw several cream Ugandan artistes including; Rema Namakula, Eddy Kenzo, Dr. Jose Chameleone, Gravity Omuttuju and the legendary Jamaican reggae super star Mr. G entertain the locals, is still doing more charity work. He has been joined by several companies for the good cause which include Sugar Allied Industries Limited.
Mr. Abid Alam, the Managing Director of the sugar Company, authoritatively handed over fifty gumboots and one tonne of sugar to Bobi Wine and Nubian Lee on Tuesday at the company offices. Even before the show, Bobi wine had got lots of items from companies and individual masses ranging from clothes to foods.
All of the earnings gathered, are to be poured in the hands Bududa and Kasese people by Bobi Wine and his Fire Base crew.
