Prominent businessman and real estate leader, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has been presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Property Awards and the Homes Expo.

Dr. Sudhir was recognized for his decades-long contribution to Uganda’s property and real estate sector, where his investments have transformed the country’s commercial and residential landscape.

Presenting the accolade, Dr. Edwin Musiime, Chairman of the River Group and leader of the Uganda Homeowners Association delegation, praised Sudhir’s legacy. “The footpath of innovation and achievements in real estate by Dr. Ruparelia stands as a model for present as well as future entrepreneurs and investors,” Musiime said, adding that the recognition “reaffirms the vital role of private sector leadership in driving national development and shaping Uganda’s future.”

Through Crane Management Services, Dr. Sudhir has set industry benchmarks in property management, creating opportunities for growth, employment, and innovation. His portfolio features landmark developments such as Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kabira Country Club, Speke Apartments, and The Cube in Kisementi. These are projects that have redefined hospitality and luxury living in Uganda.

His influence also stretches across Kampala’s skyline with commercial hubs like Crane Plaza, Crane Chambers, and Kampala Boulevard, which provide vital business spaces and continue to spur enterprise.

Outside real estate, Dr. Sudhir has invested heavily in education through Kampala Parents School and Victoria University, reinforcing his belief in nation-building by advancing both infrastructure and human capital.

This latest recognition underscores his standing as one of Uganda’s most influential business leaders, whose impact continues to shape the future of housing, real estate, and urban development.
