The Uganda Cranes will host Ghana at the Mandela National Stadium on Saturday 15th November 2014 on match day five of the 2015 Morocco AFCON qualifiers in Group E. As the day draws closer, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named referees of Sudanese origin to take charge of the Uganda Cranes clash with the ‘Black Stars’ of Ghana.
El Fadil Mohamed Hussein will be the center referee and will be assisted by Waleed Ahmed Ali as the first assistant referee (AR1) and Mohammed Idam Idam Hamid (AR2) as the second. The fourth official will be Badr El Din Abdel Gadir Abdel from Sudan. Asfaw Luleseged Begashaw, an Ethiopian international will be the match commissioner.
Four days after the Ghana clash, the Cranes will be in Morocco where they will be taking on Guinea in their last game of the qualifiers. This game is to be played on a neutral ground as CAF demanded West African countries severely hit by the Ebola endemic to host their home games away from home.
Meanwhile, the Uganda Cranes will play Ethiopia on Sunday 9th November at Namboole stadium in a build match which the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to attend. He is also expected to play in a curtain raiser game between the Cabinet XI and Parliament XI.
