Stecia Mayanja’s husband Abasi Mubiru is in hot soup again. Mubiru who was earlier arrested for defrauding a city businessman George Afaayo, but later released on bail in July this year could be arrested again after a new complaint was lodged against him.
When he was released, Mubiru was ordered by the Kampala Civil Court assistant registrar Emmanuel Baguma to pay Ugx1.5M every week till his Ugx13.9M debt was cleared.
However, according to Afaayo, Mubiru has since then not deposited any money as per the court order and has never reported to court to explain his failure to pay the money.
This has forced Afaayo to forward his petition to Kampala civil court Assistant registrar for the second time seeking the court to order its bailiffs to produce him in court before the end of September this year.
