Word reaching our desk indicates that singer Stecia Mayanja of Golden Band has divorced her recently wedded man Abaasi Mubiru.
According to our sources, Stecia dumped Abaasi beacause of his financial status. Upon learning that he is broke and even the house they have been staying in belongs to a Ugandan living abroad yet he never contributed any money to their wedding, the Equalizer singer is said to have called it quits and packed all her belongings and moved to her friend Sarah’s house in Bweyogerere.
This comes just one month after the couple exchanged vows at Kibuli Mosque.
However, it should be noted that Stecia’s Mom Cissy Namaganda had stopped her daughter from getting married to Abaasi on the weeding eve calling him a con-man but Stecia defied her and carried on with the wedding.
