StarTimes to broadcast all CHAN 2023 games

The African Nations Championship (CHAN) returns for its 7th edition this January. The tournament will be held from January 13 to February 4, 2023 in Algeria. The games will open with the host country, Algeria taking on the Libyan side on January 13, 2023 at the Baraki stadium.

Uganda was drawn in Group B together with DR Congo, Senegal and Cote D’Ivoire. Uganda cranes has failed to go past the group stages during the five times they have played in the tournament that started in 2007 but will this time try to aim higher than that during next years’ edition in Algeria.

Group C features current African hero during recent World Cup Morocco against Sudan, Madagascar and Ghana. Uganda’s opening match will be against Congo on 14th Jan, 2023 at 7:00PM.

StarTimes has announced that they will broadcast all the games live in 4 different native languages i.e. English, Luganda, Runyooro and Luo.

“As StarTimes, CHAN is such a special competitions for us due to the fact that only StarTimes Uganda Premier league stars are eligible to participate. This platform will open doors for our players to greener pastures.“ Said Lule Isma, the Brand and Marketing Director StarTimes.

World Football and Sanyuka Prime will be the lead channels broadcasting in English and Luganda respectively; customers on both satellite and Antenna decoders will access all the action irrespective of the bouquet.
