In a heartfelt tribute to one of Uganda’s leading musicians, St. Andrew’s College, Sanda, celebrated its 16th anniversary on Saturday, April 5, 2025, by naming a dormitory after singer Spice Diana.

The announcement was made public by Spice Diana herself through her social media platforms, where she expressed deep gratitude for the recognition.

“Growing up, I often saw roads and buildings named after Uganda’s greats, but it never occurred to me that one day, my name could be honored in the same way,” she wrote.

“At St. Andrew, a school dormitory has been named ‘Spice Diana’ — and to me, that’s no small thing. It’s a powerful reminder that with great power comes great responsibility.”

She further encouraged students who will reside in the dormitory, saying, “May my name serve as a constant reminder that your dreams are valid and achievable.”

Spice Diana also extended heartfelt thanks to the school’s leadership, adding, “A big thanks to the Directors, Father Lawrence, and the management of St. Andrew’s Sanda for this incredible honor.”
