Ugandan female singer and entertainer Mariam Ndagire has cautioned fellow singers Spice Diana, Nina Roz, Sheebah Karungi, Desire Luzinda against nudity.
Speaking about the state of Ugandan music, the actress, playwright, film director, and film producer said that all would be good if some of the artistes decided to be decent.
Mariam went on to say that thighs are not the ones that attract fans but the musical content.
‘The voice doesn’t come from the thighs that Sheebah and her friends are always showing off. I know you buy your own clothes but you need to cut it down a bit,’ she said.
It it then that the musician said that she is going to involve the ministry in charge to make sure that singers behave. ‘The government should rate the dress code and songs that are obscene should never see the light of day. They need to respect themselves. We are engaging the ministry in charge to handle this.’
Asked about the same a few months ago, Sheebah said that she is different from the person people see on stage. She also noted that she has a very likable personality and those who don’t know her on a personal level will never understand why she does what she does.
