Sensational Ugandan songwriter and singer Frederick Ssenyonga a.k.a Black Skin is still redundant to apologize to singer Bebe Cool despite being jailed for almost 4days now.
Black Skin was arrested on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Eno Beats Studio, Makindye – Kampala by security operatives and taken to Jinja Police station.
He was also later sent behind bars on charges of tarnishing singer Bebe Cool’s name with humiliating statements against him in public and the media.
According to his close friend producer Eno Beat, Black Skin was arrested on grounds of his “Gyenvudde” song which he has been battling with Bebe Cool for in the past months.
“BLACK SKIN (song writer) was arrested yesterday at 1600hrs.Ensonga za ”Gyenuvdde,”” Eno Beats said in a statement on his Facebook page.
Ever since Bebe Cool released his “Gyenvudde” song, a tale of his pain to glory in his life, Black Skin often stormed the media and claimed not to have received his payment for writing the song.
He also revealed that it’s a persisted habit of the Gagamel International CEO failing to pay some of his song writers.
However, Black Skin found relief as he released his version of the same song he sold to Bebe Cool.
Black Skin’s song sounded the same as Bebe Cool’s, with the similar lyrics and rhythm, cracking a huge debate both in the media and public on which project is better to consume in the ears.
Apparently, the multi-hit song writer has proved not remorseful for his takes on Bebe even amidst legal threats.
“No one owns this music industry. The main point is not about me attacking Bebe Cool, its about my song, my sweat. Am not apologizing,” Black Skin told the Press.
Black Skin one of uniquely gifted song writers in Uganda as he is witnessed in songs such as; Katono by Bebe Cool, Up & Whine by Bebe Cool, Tatizo by Jose Chameleone, Sitani Tokema by Roden Y Kabako Ft. Sheebah & Fik Fameica, and many more.
