After doing an impressive job on the Facebook Lover remix with Don Mc and Santanna, the Uptown boys seem unstoppable. They made a musical statement on that remix establishing themselves as a force to reckon with.
Remy, one of the members to the Uptown group is back with yet another fantastic song. The song titled “Jamila” is out already and making rounds on the various entertainment websites.
So often you listen to a song and you can’t help but call it another of those album fillers. But “Jamila” is not one such song, it’s a tune worth the listen.
When you listen to this ballad, you get the feeling the future of Uganda’s music industry is very bright. This song is proof that Uganda’s music industry is well endowed with lots of fresh talent.
The song starts off with a quite a catchy chorus that goes on for some time before he drops the first verse. Remy flows with a sweet voice talking about how he is so in love with this girl―Jamila, whose supposedly father, a “Hajji” does not approve of the relationship. He goes on and on about his profound love for this girl. The lyrics seem easy to grasp and similarly easy to sing along, it would be no surprise if the whole crowd sings along every time the Dj plays the song.
The song was produced by Big Tune productions and it was a job quite well done. The song has a pretty good beat, one you would not mind listening to again. The song does appeal to a wide audience; if you want to wiggle around abit or just for your listening pleasure, the tune would still be ideal.
Basically, Jamila is that kind of song you would easily fall in love with. At this rate, the sky is the limit for the Uptown boys and we certainly can’t wait for what else is cooking.
