Nasser Nduhukire, widely known in Kampala’s social circles as Don Nasser, made a court appearance on Monday at Buganda Road Court, facing grave accusations of aggravated trafficking in children for sexual exploitation.
The charges against Don Nasser are severe. He, along with his alleged accomplice, Promise Gatete, is accused of orchestrating the transportation and captivity of a 16-year-old girl.
According to the prosecution, the girl was taken from Tagore Apartments located at Acacia Mall and held against her will in the Kito-Kira division for a period of three days.
Both Don Nasser and Promise Gatete have fervently denied the charges leveled against them. Despite their denials, the court has remanded both individuals to Luzira prison.

They are to remain in custody pending their appearance before the High Court, where the trial will commence. The stakes are exceptionally high, as the maximum penalty for the crime they are accused of is death.
Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi, who presided over the hearing, has scheduled the next court date for October 8, 2024. This session aims to review the progress of the ongoing investigation into the allegations.
